My name is Andre Costa and I came to web design from engineering, where a habit sets in early: a line in the wrong place is not a matter of taste, it is a failed inspection and a redesign. Every build here is held to that same standard.
What pushed me into web design is simple. There are businesses in this valley I genuinely love, doing better work than the competitors who outrank them, quietly losing customers to a search result. Twenty-seven builds later the method is settled: pages get measured before they get decorated, and anything that does not move a visitor closer to calling you gets drawn out.
